Hey everyone, well just a little check in to let you know that i have re launched my jewellery and accessories range VINTAGE NIGHTS , it now has its own facebook page and you can purchase straight off there. I am making my own as well as sourcing the best high end costume jewellery for you all from around the globe with a retro/vintage vibe... very affordable... i hope you all love it!

I also had my first date night in a very long time on the weekend, me and hubby went to vietnamese in Newtown...YUM! Then onto the factory in marrickville to see Jebediah...now i must tell you i am a HUGE jebediah fan, i may have been known to "follow" them around a little, back in the day, with friends from uni...some may call it stalking... i call it a healthy interest in music..or musician...;p it was a GREAT night, they rocked...if only my kids could have seen mum with her drink in hand up the front taking pics on my iphone like a big dork lol!! The crowd were all late 20's early 30's..funny...when i told my 21 year old cousin we were seeing jebs she said "WHO????" ...oh dear...come on... it's not like i said fleetwood mac?????? ANYHOW it was a super way to let my hair down after working so so hard lately!

Some other things i am loving.... Lumar (is he not the cutest husband ever!! from lumar and Khloe... Brothers and Sisters, diet coke, the new woolies brand sweet chilli and sour cream chips, my dog Tana (sometimes!!!!) my family thinks it is funny that the little pugalier is trying to dominate me...i will show him who is boss! All 3 KG of him!!!, austar IQ... LOVE IT...chelsey lately...hello how funny is that chic, that spotlight is coming to miranda just after i leave, cheers for that!....my husband for not knowing there was a speed camera in wollongong and letting me take the weekly fines and demerit points... cheers for that also...i had a perfect 12...not anymore!!, the rain.... well for a little bit anyway....my friends who i got to see on the weekend and always make me laugh, the fact they are looking for a cure for crohn's..... i will KISS the person who can cure this for so many of us... and just being able to keep creating and growing my business ventures!

Moving and a puppy named Tana..

Well we did it..we finally have the sea change we have been talking about for the past 5 years! All be it only down to the Gong...but still, it feels like a million miles away from my last 20 something years in the "Shire"... i am loving the beach, the parks, the yard, the new studio...everything is perfect! We also got a little puppy pugalier "Tana" .. as in the all black.. my husband is a kiwi and we must pay a little homage! He is beautiful and settling into our crazy life!

http://www.tippietoes.net.au/ has been a little quiet, but never fear i have patterns and fabric galore for the coming summer..i am not a big winter fan, so i am concentrating on accessories over this time and getting ready for a colourful summer!!

The 3 kiddies are settling in well with mumma looking forward to the eldest starting school next year....BRING IT ON i say.... love him to bits, but he is FULL ON, good luck kindy teachers :))xx

Happy 2011

We had the most wonderful xmas break with the family, it was so nice to get away and now have to think about anything but family fun :)

I tried to not think of work, but found myself always looking for a charity store or a fabric store..i guess that is what happens when you do what you love!

I am all inspired and ready for a big 2011, lots of new and exciting things in the works..maybe a sea change even......

I am hoping to write more this year.... the little ones tend to take up a lot of my time..but many others do it so i will see how i go... no promises as i know i have said it before!!!

Friday Night Lights

Light Bulb moment: Get me out of this cold, damp unit and into a sunny happy place down the coast where the kids can play outside, i can spread my craft and sewing out where ever i please in my "studio" (i do love that word for some reason!!) instead of the lounge chair arms, the floor, the nursery, the wall hangings, the garage.. you get the idea :).. was sitting with a glass of red reading the new issue of notebook magazine (nothing like that magazine to make you realise your house and life need some MAJOR style make over!!) and i thought we MUST move NOW before i go insane with 3 kids in a unit!!

We take the kids to the park and it is like they have been released on bail... they go crazy! Poor little chickens... i crave a house with space to run around in (where you can take more than 2 steps and you are not in the next room yet!!!), a yard (nothing major..just a bit of grass to call our own), a big kitchen to do all that baking i never get around to doing and a home office.... ahhh.. a studio would make my world! and maybe, maybe a dog even! Although we will NEVER agree on what dog.. it will be some sort of paris hilton meets chopper cross breed!! but never a cat...no NEVER a cat :)

So thanks to my fav magazine Notebook... i will now continue my hunt for the perfect town house by the beach with an affordable mortgage, a studio, nice kitchen, 3 bedrooms, a yard, internal garage and not gross carpet...know nayone selling??

A New Start

Well long time no blogging!! I guess FaceBook has taken over recently, and with it comes good things and also not so good...all i will say on this is that eventually...hopefully... the truth will come out.. i just hate that wonderful and talented designers are being expolited and being made out to look like the villians... really sad.. but i have stayed out of it and that is the best way to be...

Onto TIPPIE TOES: Summer 2010/11 will launch in September. I am SO SO excited.. i have so many designers i can finally unveil.. a lot of hand made goodness as well as some of my fav finds!

The web site is going to get an overhall, a new look and feel and something fresh for summer.. can't wait!

VINTAGE NIGHTS: this is my "other" passion.. i started it about 7 years ago.. making jewellery, hair accessories and stationery, bits and pieces for all my friends and family. I have some new and exciting things to unveil soon.. stay tuned.

ME: I am stressed with a capital S..lol... 3 kids, a business and a house to look after does not make for much rest and relaxation, especailly when little Cohen.. bless him... is being a little pain in the behind :) Lets just say my new radio station is the "sounds of whinging".. i listen to it all day and it leaves me SO relaxed come night time when i switch it over to "the sounds of crying" ... oh it isn't that bad????? Lucky he is so damn cute i cannot get mad with him.. and the fact he is only 8 months old!!! The other 2 precious ones make me laugh and frustrate the bejesus out of me all day every day.. mostly laugh though... Lily to Cohen " morning buuuuddyyy" Ty to Lily " his name isn't buuudddyyy... it's fatty boomars Cohen" ... who can't help but laugh at this banter all day long!

I have decided to try and give this whole blogging thing another go.. i love reading blogs that are truthful, funny, inspiring and just plain old interesting..so why not put my degree to use and have a go at writing :) we will see how it goes anyway!

So back on board, lots of exciting things happening and a new outlook that i will TRY to stick to.. that is be thankful for what i have, be kind every day, open my heart and give a little back where i can.

Life is a roller coaster..

Stop the ride.. my husband and i need to get off!!! that is what it has felt like the past 12 weeks (funny...Cohen is 12 weeks this week..mmmm) although the lack of new items on the web site may suggest otherwise.. i have been so busy sewing for the markets.. so i hope you can all come to the mathildas first time in paddigton on sat 6th march.. will be fun:)

I have also been trying to get my head aroung the number of "petite couture" labels popping up all over the place.. my husband believed he coined the phrase 2 years ago over a glass of red.. i think it was the french somehow:)) So i have been racking my brain about whether or not to keep going.. if so how do i stand alone from the crowd... new products etc etc.. all ther while at home with the kids...then i received a lovely email from a beautiful customer that made my day and my decision.... i will do the very best i can to be different and unique and accept that sometimes things get tough and ugly but i will will listen to the words of a wise old women.. oprah.. if she were here she would say.. stay true to your self girlfriend... or is that marcia heines???

Anyway enough inner soul searching... there is a baptism and 2 year old's party to organise in 24 hours....ahhh....stop the ride.... or pass me the bottle... sorry oprah!

Happy New Year everyone :) Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year!

Was great to get away, even if it did rain the WHOLE time we were away~!! Got to catch up with family and friends which is always nice :)

This year i am gearing up to do a bit more design and a lot more one offs, having the 3 under 3 and a half has left me with precious little time and i have to be realistic.. i will do the very best i can to keep my little creations coming, however i am on the hunt for some more gorgeous designers to bring to you in the new year..some cute additions hopefully arriving this week from some new suppliers.

More for the mums this year too!

Thanks again for all your well wishes with our latest and final addition :) Cohen is going really well and adjusting to the hectic lifestyle like a little trooper :)

Well i am so pleased to be FINALLY home for good after going back to the maternity ward with mastitis for 3 days (NEVER thought i would be a patient there again!!) and pleased to announce the birth of baby Cohen Stewart Vazey, born 19th Nov at 9.20am weighing 8 pound 11 ounces.

What a gorgeous new addition to the family.. the kids have taken a shine to him already and so have mum and dad, since he eats and sleeps all day and not much else at the moment :)

I am hoping to post a few bits and pieces in the coming weeks and finish off some custom orders for some VERY patient loyal customers :) Cant wait for next year where i will hit the markets.. old and new and develop my first full range for the next summer.

I will have free shipping in the month of December for all members and those who join the newsletter via the website by the end of the week.. i will email everyone the code over the weekend as a MERRY XMAS from TIPPIE TOES along with some more sale items.

Thula Thula SWAP meet

I was recently involved in a designer "swap" arrangement started by the lovely Naomi at Thula Thula .. the idea was for us all to place an item up to swap with another designer so we could share the love... what a GREAT idea. Having loved her designs i was quick to snap up Naomi's nautical top for my little girl in exchange for a crochet sleeve top for her little girl. We were both very happy with the exchange :).. It was like xmas!!

Take at look at Naomi's designs, inspired by the 30's and 40's her peices are classic and made to perfection, the attention to detail is 2nd to none and the quality is outstanding. Grab yourself a little outfit at thula thula.. you wont be dissapointed!

It's Raining It's Pouring

Well after staying up till 2 am most mornings this week sewing i was looking forward to a gorgeous day out at the Gymea Fair markets on Sunday...mmm mother nature had different ideas!!

Mum and i had a great time chatting to all the lovely people who came up to buy and just say hello in the 3 hours trading we got in, and i just wanted to say thank you, you are all so lovely and have such kind things to say, i am so just glad you like what we are doing..makes it worth it!

The little roller skate suits were a hit and i promise i will be making them in different sizes soon..i really need to grow another set of arms.. i think that may help.. and get back on the caffeine i think!! Bubs is helping me out by not letting me sleep anyway so if i have to be up till all hours i may as well be productive!

The womens singlets also went like hot cakes and more will be available on the net soon.... after i have finished mathilda's i will post all the one offs up on the site.

Next week we are in doors...hurray for that!!!

Just a quick one.. i will be at the baby and kids market at Sutherland Basketball Stadium next Sunday 13th Sept 9am - 12 noon. It is a great market to pick up some bargains!! Pre loved clothing in mint condition.. some brand new with tags!!

As well as making room for bub number 3 by selling off some gorgeous wears.. i am hoping to pick up some great buys myself!! Especially toys.. my poor kids are lacking in that department!

Well it has been a little while since i have blogged... been so busy with the summer range which i am really excited about sharing with you end of Sept (and early Oct for the beautiful Ivy Designs 2009/10 summer range)... i have posted a few pics of what you can expect :)

The last couple of weeks have been a great learning curve for me, there has been tears, happiness, frustration, anger and everything in between as i continue to learn the ropes of the kids fashion industry... but coming out the other side, the thing i have learned the most is that my family is the most important thing in my life.. nothing else should even come close to getting the attention they deserve...especially as 4 grows to 5 very shortly!! How time flies when you are pregnant, emotional and uncomfortable :)

I want to thank all my lovely loyal customers who just keep on coming back for more.. i hope i can continue to supply you with unique, high quality products at affordable prices... you guys are great and your feedback, comments and emails really make my day.. so thank you!

It's been a while...

Very slack on the blog!! It has been on my to do list for a long time now so i am up before the rest of the fam so i can finally update :)

Well since i last wrote Magnolia Square Markets has come and gone with great success, i was thrilled to be part of such a wonderful group of talented women!! My lovely neighbours included Melinda from Paperklip and Yogi from the delicious sweet dreams cakes.. these women were an inspiration and you really should check out their web sites if you are planning a party for your little one...constantly amazed at the talent and skill of these working mums!

Tippie Toes sales went really well, the feedback was great and i met so many lovely customers.. makes me want to open my own shop!! Unfortunately i wont be at the next markets as i will be about 39 weeks pregnant or have had bubs number 3! I will be at the mathildas markets in Nov though at approx 37 weeks pregnant :) Make sure to come and say hi!

The web site is really taking off so a big thank you to you all for your support.. i am continuing to source new lines for you as well as develop the tippietoes brand. If anyone knows any good boys brands be sure to let me know!

It's a girl thing

I have just finished putting Lily's room together and i thought i would share some pics. We are still waiting on new carpet and shelving but it is almost there.

I love shabby chic, white looks for girls room with vintage touches. There are MANY things i would LOVE to have in her room but i was on a strict budget!

I love her belle and boo prints, her op shop dresser and little dress hanger which holds some of my fav dresses from Tea Pony, Ivy Designs, Tippietoes Petite Couture and the local op shop :). I also just love her little punk rocker doll i found down in Cronulla.. it really reminds me of Lily's personality and she adores her... i am so imaginative with the name too.. it is Dolly...mmm maybe i can come up with something else..my husband is set on Emma :)!! At the moment lily just calls her eh eh eh eh with a point of her little finger!

Her little lantern lights found in a shop in country Coonabarabran look beautiful at night and her Nan found the gorgeous bead spread in a little shop in Mudgee (she made the lady open the shop so she could get it!!) Thanks Mum!

Anyway best get back to the sewing... i am sure i will add to the room as she gets older.. there seems to be a lack of toys!! She is only 16 months and does spend more time in her brothers room with his dinasours so i guess it will do our little miss for now :)

Long Weekend Bliss

Just had to write in to share some pics of our wonderful long weekend, we took the kids down the coast to Symbio wildlife park which they loved! Lily got to feed the kangaroos and Ty almost fell over his feet trying to get away from them..funny! Then we had a pub lunch at Scarborough on top of the cliffs, followed by a day of fun and food with family. yesterday was spent cleaning and painting which was not so fun!!

I am busy sewing for the magnolia square markets which are coming up on the 2, 3 4th July.. i can't wait to have a tippietoes stall as well as shop for all those gorgeous products!!! I will put up a post with a sneak peek of my creations and all the details later this week.

Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend.. for us mum's it is nice to have an extra day of a helping hand!! ;)

Some New One Offs

Well for those who sign up to the newsletter i have finally put a couple of things up.. thanks for checking back and sorry for being so slow! I have had some really tough personal things going on (and no it wasn't turning 30 lol) but things are looking up so hopefully i am back!! I feel like i have been out of action for so long in mind and spirit...i think i have my spark back so here's hoping i sew like a mad women over the next few weeks and i get lots more things up!!

I have found another gorgeous brand but it is a little on the expensive side so still deciding whether or not to stock.

Right Bank Babies is getting rave reviews which is great... it is SO MUCH more beautiful in person, as you can attest if you are lucky enough to have a piece of couture.

My application for a November stall at Mathildas has been approved so i will be there again with LOADS of christmas goodies... fingers crossed and prayers that everything goes well i will be 38 weeks pregnant though with bub number 3!! Have had some early scares but things look to be positive so we are praying for the best.

So thanks for your patience and happy shopping!

Almost there...

Well it feels like i have been out of action for months.... it really has only been 2 weeks but it feels like forever!

With the big move, hubby spraining his ankle on the eve of the move, renovations and little suprises, not to mention 2 gorgeous little munchkins finding every wet paint wall with their little fingers and tears from all three of us as we starting a new kindy.. it has been a hectic 14 days to say the least! However i am slowely feeling like i can get my sewing corner together....i could not believe how much STUFF i had until i had to pack it up and move it.... i never knew i had so many bits of fabric and lace!

In the middle of all this we took little man and missy moo to the show on the one day it rained! Luckily the kids enjoyed it as i tell you what they saw us coming!!!! Bertie Beatle bags all the way thanks to the $10 tea cups ride for little man!!!! Carnie's are NOT on my list of fav people!! And fish and chips for 2 $27...i don't think we will be going next year, i will take the kids for a drive to the county to see cows!

Anyway just wanted to touch base and say i am working on my one offs...i have finished a couple and am going to photograph them and get them up early next week... some long sleeve vintage tops and pants..some cute smock tops..and am working on a cute jacket at the moment. Don't have access to my pics as my main computer is down but thought i would share this shot from

Well YES..i am SO excited to introduce RIGHT BANK BABIES to the tippietoes followers. This brand is stunning! I had to really hold myself back from spending a small fortune!

These pieces are heirloom pieces and as a treat to you as i know times are tough and this is on the more expensive side, i have put the range on sale just because i want you to be able to own a piece at a reasonable price.

This is an American brand much loved with a great following and is only JUST been released here in Australia. I love the VINTAGE range and Cha Belle for Right Bank Babies. If you love it as much as me and the sales are good i will get in more pieces from the range that i know you will love.

The Princess and the Beer

Lily had her first birthday last weekend and despite me staying up until midnight sewing her a tutu for the big day it turned out to be whatever was in the cupboard at the last minute after it was clear the princess was not happy with the tutu... great! Lucky Auntie Meg had bought her a cute little crochet top to save the day.

Then it was into the dirt and iceblocks in her new baby bloch shoes...mmm again great! Then we swapped milk for beer and the mummy gave up!

Tippietoes is expecting some very cute stock in the coming weeks so stay tuned...there is also time to grab a bargain on our summer sale stock so hurry while stocks last!

I have been busy sewing for Mathildas Market on Sunday 22nd March.. will post some pics of the creations in the coming days...until then... back to the sewing machine!

My daughter lily is my little model for tippietoes and i was trying to get her to pose for some new items i got in and some of my headbands but she had other things on her mind...like vegie sandwiches... she makes me laugh every day (as does my 2.5 year old with his singing!!) and it makes me thankful to have this little business where i get to see moments like these.... i hope they make you smile too :)

i know my little princess is hiding in there somewhere....maybe tomorrow :)

Just had to do a quick update as today was a huge day for my little family.. we became homeowners! We are so excited to have found a new little place to call our own! My 2 year back log of real living magazine will now be put to good use!! (i LOVE that magazine!!)

I also visited kids in style today and met some lovely and talented people and am very excited to be bringing you some gorgeous creations over the coming months i think you will love! I know i fell in love several times over... some of the products were too cute to resist and are a great fit with the tippietoes brand....stay tuned!!

Holly Hobbie is also coming to visit very soon, i received my gorgeous parcel from Twiglet today and can't wait to get them up for you to see :)

A huge thank you to Elizabeth who has been so very sweet and helpful over the last month since we first came in contact. It has been a fast and hectic learning curve for me and i am excited to be starting my TAFE classes next week to get me up to speed with patterns and finishes etc so i can create some vintage inspired pieces to offer you all :)

My daughter Lily turns one in a few weeks so i am going to be busy organising her little butterfly party and her uncle (who has never met her) return home from the UK which we are all excited about.

I am currently putting together all my ideas for a summer 08/09 collection.... i love summer clothes so much more than winter!! And i am also sourcing some extra special pieces for the site from around the globe.... the US dollar is making life very difficult!

I am currently busy sewing for my wholesale orders, there has been a lot of interest in tippietoes own range which is very exciting! More on this to come.

Am a little tired after staying up to watch a little piece of history last night and can say i am glad we don't have anything like the world's longest marching band parade over here! Oh boy there had to be 5000 marching bands...who knew marching was so popular....excuse me while i dozzzzzzzzzzzz offffffff.

Well happy 2009 everybody. I have just returned from a wonderful holiday over the xmas break, camping with my family and scouting potential new places to settle up the coast..very exciting.

I have returned fresh and inspired for a wonderful year full of exciting possibilities and designs for your little ones.

I would like to thank Amanda and her team at style collective http://www.stylecollective.com.au/ for her feature on tippietoes early this week. This is a great new site to browse when you have time...full of great little pieces from indi designers, i am greatful for the mention :)

TippieToes Petite Couture

Well my first blog, i figure it will be like most things and get better with time and practice!

I have started this blog as part of my new adventure into the world of children's wear and owning and operating my own small business (with the help of my beautiful family).

This is something very different for me, after having two children Ty 2 and half and Lily 8 months, i decided i wanted to stay at home with the kids for as long as possible and to do this i needed to be able to work from home, so i combined my love of vintage pieces, arts and crafts and finding a bargain and turned them into www.tippietoes.net.au which aims to bring the very best of all things handmade, gorgeous and unique to you on one site.

I am very excited about the wonderful stock i have found and thank all my talented suppliers. It has taken a long time to get to this point but i really think you will like it, hopefully we will be up and running by the end of November.

I also look forward to launching my own line of clothes in the near future.
